Eastside

the most
anticipated book
in the history of
urban publishing
is finally here!
Eastside

the book they
tried to stop
from coming
out, drops on July
10, 2007.
Lil Fade smiled broadly beneath his red bandanna, and lifted his SKS from the floorboards.  “Did they take the
interchange?”
Romeo, who had been crouched down in the backseat, lifted his head and peered out the  window.  “Yeah.”
Lil Fade pulled back the bolt on his SKS and released it.  The bolt slammed forward violently, chambering a round.
“Then may God have mercy on their fuckin' souls!"
excerpts
“Wrong answer.”  Re-Re reached beneath his T-shirt and pulled out a black H&K pistol.  He leaned forward and
whispered into Travon’s ear,  “Who’s on top now, Tre?  East Terrace is on top.  Can you say dat, Tre?  Can you
say East Terrace?  C’mon, let me hear you say East Terrace is on top.”
Lil Fade stood.  “Don’t convince nobody to be down with my hood!  Either his muthafuckin' ass is, or he ain’t!  We
don’t need no half-ass dedicated muthafuckas running around the hood.  You either love your homies and your
hood, or you don’t.  I was a Blood the day I came outta my momma’s pussy.  Nobody made me one, or talked me into
a muthafuckin' thing!  Blood is in the heart, and BSV is in the soul.  It’s for life!  It’s BSV until the day I muthafuckin'
die!”  He approached Travon, and stood just before him.  “I killed for you.”
Travon, Marcus, Romeo, Peaches, Precious, and Poison slowly filed past the group of ETGs.  Travon turned
and glanced back at Re-Re and his compatriots, who were still facing the other direction.  He could read the words
on the back of their royal blue T-shirts:    E.T.G.  Every Thang Goes.
Eastside is a coming of age tale set amidst the inner city gang
violence of the early nineties.   It is a tale filled with crooked police officers,
violent gangland shootouts, blazing car chases, petty drug dealing,
ruthless armed robberies, a psychotic seventeen year old albino gang
member, and the haunting legacy of a long dead brother.
Are you
gangsta
enough for
the
Eastside?
